The objective of the research plan was to gather insights and feedback from key stakeholders, including Fleet Managers, Users (Employees or Community Health Workers), and Car Captains, in order to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations related to the current fleet management system.
1
Research Goals
Identify the current challenges and pain points faced by Fleet Managers, Users (Employees or Community Health Workers), and Car Captains.
Understand the key tasks, workflows, and interactions involved in the fleet management process.
Determine the desired features, functionalities, and user experience expectations for a modern fleet management system.
Gather insights on integration requirements with other systems and compliance regulations.
2
Target Participants
Fleet Managers: Responsible for overall fleet management and coordination.
Users (Employees or Community Health Workers): Regular users of fleet vehicles for patient visits or office travel.
Car Captains: Assist in coordinating vehicle check-in, check-out, and maintenance.
3
Research Methods
User Interviews:
Observation and Workflow Analysis:
Observe fleet managers, Users (Employees or Community Health Workers), and car captains performing tasks related to fleet management. Note their workflows, interactions, and challenges encountered during the process. Identify any inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or areas for improvement in the current system.
Data Analysis:
Transcribe and analyze the interview recordings, highlighting common themes, patterns, and user needs. Summarize and categorize the observations and findings from workflow analysis. Analyze survey responses to identify trends, preferences, and feature priorities.
Insights and Recommendations:
Consolidate the research findings into a comprehensive report, highlighting key insights and user needs. Present actionable recommendations for the design and development of the new Fleet Management System. Prioritize features and functionalities based on user feedback and requirements. Consider integration needs with other systems and compliance regulations identified during the research. Create Personas and User Journey for the current System and the provided solution.
By conducting user interviews, observations, this UX research plan will provide valuable insights and recommendations to inform the design and development of a user-centric and efficient Fleet Management System. The research findings will help ensure that the new system meets the needs and expectations of its users, resulting in improved user experience and streamlined fleet management processes.
Design System
When I joined the company, there was no existing design team or design system in place. Recognizing the need for a cohesive visual framework, I took the initiative to create a comprehensive design system from the ground up. This involved developing standardized components, consistent visual guidelines, and a unified set of design principles to be applied across all products and services. The design system has since become an integral part of the company's development process, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and a superior user experience. It continues to be actively used and maintained by the team, significantly enhancing brand coherence and design quality.
Let's connect on a call to discuss my project further. Due to NDA restrictions, I'm unable to share it on my portfolio, but I'd be happy to provide more details and insights during our conversation.
